The Chapel West District is a vital mixed-use urban corridor that includes the Yale University Arts Area, Dwight Neighborhood, and the Hospital of St. Raphael. Since its formation as a Special Services District over the past two decades, vast improvements have been made in maintenance and public safety. Today, business and community leaders are seeking to redefine the District’s identity and further improve urban life.

The general purpose of this project is to assess the existing physical and economic status of the District, define a viable vision strategy, and define urban design recommendations towards the future development of the Chapel West neighborhood.
