DSA's role as the architectural design consultant for the master plan update of the State of Hawaii's second largest airport is related to our firm's knowledge and appreciation of its historic legacy. Originally designed as an interisland terminal by Ossipoff, Snyder, Rowland and Goetz Architects (b. 1966) – led by Vladimir Ossipoff, FAIA – and expanded by another firm during the 1970s, the current airport is in need of reassessment and improvement. Working with R.M. Towill Corporation, DSA is responsible for the architectural inventory, analysis, and concept design recommendations for an expanded and sustainable Kahului Airport.
