On April 6, the new DSA-designed American Savings Bank, Downtown Branch at Bishop Square opened after a blessing ceremony. The design prioritizes efficiency, visibility, and a refreshed identity that reflects stronger connections to the island community. Design elements such as the kalo mural - now a key feature in newer branches - reinforce this direction with locally harvested Albizia wood millwork. The Albizia grill entrance wall complements the existing koa wood in the building lobby. Inside the bank, curved Albizia millwork at the transaction center and workstations bring warmth and texture. Together, these elements express ASB's mission and values through a cohesive and contemporary architectural language.
